Last week’s sandpiper was photographed in a forest near Prince George, British Columbia, the boreal forests being exactly where you would expect to find a Solitary Sandpiper during breeding season. For this week, a bird from the one family that I think gives me more grief than any other when it comes to tricky identification. Good luck and great birding!
