At about 9:37 tonight I went and grabbed the batteries and charger for my camera, plugged it all in, then walked outside to have a look around and enjoy the cool evening for a few minutes. Listened to a pair of eagles off in the distance chatting away at each other - must have been a sign that I need to go make some photographs tomorrow.

Could distinctly hear a slight difference in pitch as they yapped away - wonder if one gender typically has a slightly lower tone as in our species? I know that female eagles (and most other raptors) are larger; could they also be the one with that lower voice? Might have to look into that someday.

I wasn't the only person in the neighborhood that was outside at the time (I could here someone down the street talking) but I'd be willing to bet that if you were to ask they didn't hear a damned thing. Guess I'm the the lucky one.(smile)
