Last week's bird, found throughout much of the desert southwest, was a Verdin. They belong to the family Remizidae, or penduline tits, but are the only member of the family (13 species total) found in the New World.For this week, a species that can be confusing - and we had a tough time with one of its similar looking relatives once before. Looks like a Cattle Egret to me. :)
