Cool! Earth Hour Photos

The Big Picture has a series of 17 photos from around the world taken before and during Earth Hour on this past Saturday. It is really cool because when you click on the "before" photo, it fades to the "after" version. Pretty impressive stuff!

That IS cool! Thanks for sharing.

Your welcome!

(By the way . . . could you take some of this oddball weather? Please? It'll remind you of home!)

Those are some great pictures! I was driving through Atlanta around 9:50 that night and all the major skyscrapers were dark or dimmer than usual, and the Georgia capital building was also dark. It was also a very foggy night, so the entire city seemed very dark.

Stunning!

Ironically, Sydney suffered a major blackout yesterday, which probably saved more electricity than Earth Hour!

Would be kind of cool to actually see a big city without all the lights - would be a very interesting sight from an airplane, too. Where I am it is pretty much anticlimactic, since the sky is so dark anyway . . .

That is ironic - too funny!

And it is good to see you back on your blog!

Yeah, I was actually flying in that night, and that was why I was downtown. Unfortunately, it was too foggy for me to be able to see anything out of the plane.

Too bad. Funny, I just don't think of Atlanta being a place that would get much fog, either.
