While it certainly lacks the amount of splashing one might see when say, oh, a Robin takes a bath, this is how you "splish-splash" if you are a Rufous Hummingbird. The whole sequence is about 1.5 minutes long.

...oh my goodness...that was so cool. I've never seen any of our hummingbirds taking a bath...loved it!
I'd never seen it myself until recently and, in all honesty, don't know if I've seen any others besides Rufous doing it. A few of them are all that are left, so will have to wait until next year to look for Black-chinned or Broad-tailed bathing.
